Three generations of runners: Grandmother, Son and Baby
The first Park Place Neighborhood Run for Fun was a great success. The 5k course went through the park trails, participants did not have to worry about cars as they ran/walked the course. The weather was perfect for the race. We had 27 runners and walkers, two of which were pregnant. Nurse Betsy kept a close eye on them. One family had 3 generations participating; grandmother, son and grandson.

After crossing the finish line, p
articipants enjoyed a breakfast of fresh fruits, donuts, Twinkies, Ding Dongs, orange juice and plenty of water. There were even some cheeseburgers for those who were really hungry.

As with all events, many volunteers were involved in organizing of this event. Very special thanks go to:

A relaxed racer . . . not, but a great help.
